英语中的条件句分成真正条件句和虚拟条件句，而真正条件句大致分成两大类：一类称之为 “零类条件句”，用于阐述客观事实或真知。这类语句翻译成汉语大多数是 “假如……，就……”；另一类称为 “*一类条件句”，用于讨论将来很有可能产生的事儿，普遍句型的翻译是 “假如……，那么就会……”。
